Encouraging others has always been one of my favorite hobbies. While other girls were lacing up their ballet shoes or perfecting their backswing, I was thinking of the next joke I could tell or compliment I could give to make someone smile. My family, mentors, & church have always taught me that encouragement is not only a gift, but it's needed in all areas of life. My desire is to encourage everyone I meet towards the gospel, & to encourage the people around me to constantly be growing in their faith. When you receive encouragement, you give encouragement.
Growing up in a supportive household & working with my church family, God has allowed me to be equipped from such an early age. I was taught from an early age to know that my goal is to equip myself daily with the word of God so I can spread the gospel. When we equip ourselves, we can equip others in our sphere of influence to lead others. Growing up, whatever I choose to do, I always felt very encouraged & equipped. It wasn't until my early 20's that I felt empowered. In college I learned the importance of discipleship & evangelism, & how I not only needed to be poured into, but I needed to start pouring into others. My intention is to always empower others for the sake of the gospel. When we are encouraged and equipped, we are empowered to leave a lasting impact on those around us. |
