Let's be real -- on one hand COVID is still very real and prevalent, on the other hand our ministry has the ability to get started up again. After shepherding during this season entirely through a screen, we are itching to have some face-to-face interaction, even if it's through guidelines and masks. We are so grateful Tennessee's lawmakers are allowing institutions like ours to meet, but we don't take that lightly. In fact, our goal is to protect and uphold the safest of environments for the sake of our students and families. With that being said, we know rules and guidelines are ever-changing, so we will be as well. However, as we head into this season, here are some precautions, rules and ideas we are implementing during this first set of weeks back.
1. Staff and volunteers are required to wear masks at all times. 2. For students, masks are required indoors and outdoors when you cannot be within 6ft of one another. 3. We will have three different "PODS" for students to hang out in before and after service. Every Student is required to register before entering a "POD" of their choice (this is to help with contact tracing, if needed). 4. Instead of tight rows in our student space (which holds approximately 220), we will be having our Midweek programming in our worship center (which holds significantly more) in order to spread out at tables. These are just a few ideas that our ministry will be implementing throughout this season. Everything is subject to change and everything is trial and error -- but we're so grateful we get to try!
